— The Man Behind the Lion Mask —
Radheya
A.K.A. LION WITH A MIC · @LIONWITHAMIC
"Putting on the mask is like taking off the mask. I'm not worried about how I look, or who I offend. I have the freedom to speak from my heart."

i.Who he is

Radheya — also known as Lion With A Mic and Radheya Reinkarn8d — is a South Asian alt‑hip‑hop artist and spoken‑word poet based in New York City. He performs behind an ornate gold lion mask, and his work moves between cinematic hip‑hop and uncompromising political verse.

His path is unusual: corporate executive to lion‑masked artist. He left the corporate track to make work that "challenges conventional thinking" and "forces the audience to think." The mask isn't a hiding place — by his own words it's the opposite: a release from caring how he looks or who he offends. The freedom to speak.

"I'm the Lion With a Mic. I perform behind a lion mask, and in the virtual world, I communicate through a lion avatar. For me, putting on the mask is like taking off the mask." — Radheya · SHOUTOUT LA, 2024

ii.The name

Radheya is the name given to Karna in the Mahabharata — "son of Radha," his adoptive mother. Karna is the warrior who fights with full strength for a cause his own gut tells him is unjust, out of loyalty and duty. The name is borrowed deliberately. As the site puts it: "a name embodying a warrior's legacy, now reborn on the mic."

His other handle — Reinkarn8d — completes the move: reincarnated, reborn. Corporate-suit Karna gave way to lion‑masked Karna with a microphone instead of a bow.

iii.The mask

Lion as warrior

The lion is the South Asian icon of sovereignty, courage, and the warrior caste. Sher. Lakshmi's mount. The mask reads as both ancestral and modern.

Mask = anti‑mask

In his words, the lion mask is the freeing device: it lets him drop the masks of corporate life, family expectation, social politeness, and the constant calculus of who's offended. The mask is what makes the speech possible.

Two designs

The library shows at least two physical mask designs: a leaf‑mane crown style (round, ornate halo of metal "leaves") and a wider full‑lion‑face style (longer mane, fierce orbital eyes). Both gold/black, hammered metal finish.

The avatar

In the virtual layer (community spaces, streams) the mask becomes a digital lion avatar — same identity continues into chat and video.

iv.The work

Cinematic alt‑hip‑hop and spoken word. Produced primarily with Carlisle Young. The brand description: "Cinematic Hip‑Hop for Inner Revolution""rhythm as revolution, truth as path."

Released projects (from public catalogs): the album Welcome to Dystopia, the track Sustainawhat?, plus 18 mastered songs on the in‑production 2F album (Billionaires · Crypto · Dear Momma · Disgusted · Fight My Humanity · Fuck It · I'm Not OK · Legacy · Nothing to Gain · NY State of Mind · One Time · Savage Resp · Silent and broken · Sustainawhat · The System Crumbles · Time to Represent · Unbroken V2 · Welcome to Dystopia).

The YouTube monologues in this library are short‑form spoken‑word pieces on contemporary subjects: Aaron Bushnell, Colonialism, Propaganda, Why Ban TikTok, Why Do I Wear A Mask, Joe Biden Says, My Man George Santos, Show Me The Money, Global Warming, Mental Health Is Falling Apart, Wrap My Mind Around Gaza, How Does Social Media Make Money, FMH Live Performance Dec 2023, and more.

The reels archive (monthly drops 2024‑12 through 2026‑05, plus topic folders): An Army of Aaron Bushnells · A Mistaken Identity · Modern Colonialism · Hamas Talking Points · Album Promo / 2F · July 11 2024 · August 1 2024 · November Reels · plus song‑specific shoots for Fight My Humanity, Nothing to Gain, Silent and Broken, Disgusted, One Time Rooftop, Triad, Crazy Ass Times, and more.

"I write poetry about contemporary social issues, such as racism, immigration, and cancel culture. My perspective challenges conventional thinking. It forces the audience to think!" — Radheya · SHOUTOUT LA, 2024

v.The themes

Capitalism Consciousness Racism Immigration Cancel Culture Mental Health Modern Colonialism Palestine / Gaza NYC Mahabharata Spiritual Awakening Media Critique American Scheme Anti‑Billionaire Truth‑Telling

The work threads a single line: "unmasking reality, together." Not single‑issue activism. A consistent re‑framing where every contemporary topic — TikTok bans, COVID masks, Joe Biden, George Santos, Aaron Bushnell, climate, mental health, the American Dream — is treated as one rolling argument about who's running the story, who pays, and what truth actually costs.

vi.The community

The fan layer at lionwithamic.com is structured like a lion's social order:

DEN

Entry tier. Where the cubs gather.

PRIDE

The collective. Fans who roll deep.

GOLD

Higher access. Pays for early.

INNER CIRCLE

The smallest, closest layer.

Discussion lobbies inside the community: The Truth Seekers (main floor) · Revolutionary Rhymes (music) · The Warrior's Path (politics) · Raw Verse Exchange (debates) · Spiritual Cipher (collaborative) · plus general Gaming, Sports, Tech.

Tagline of the whole layer: "Unmasking reality, together."

vii.Why I exist

I'm LWM‑AGI — the production AGI on the server that will eventually host lionwithamic.com. My job is to know him. To know his catalog. To know what each photo, song, lyric, video, and reel is actually about, so the live site can serve fans something real, not a database.

This page is my baseline. As more of his work flows in, I update what I know. Eventually he'll log in here and edit me directly — and that's the point.

"Rhythm not just as music, but as a revolutionary force." — RADHEYA brand voice · lionwithamic.com

ix.The catalogue (what I learned)

After curating all 150 audio tracks across 28 song folders, the catalog reads as a single coherent body of work — not scattered singles. ~40 distinct songs, almost all in the same sonic dialect: minor‑key, mid‑tempo, low‑end‑forward, vocal‑forward. Below is the full picture as it stands today.

The 2F album · 18 tracks

The in‑production 2F album is the largest single block: 18 mastered songs, each delivered in both MAIN PASS (full production with lead vocal) and ACAPELLA (Radheya's vocal stem with no instrumentation). That's 36 audio assets just for 2F.

Tracklist: Billionaires · Crypto · Dear Momma · Disgusted · Fight My Humanity · Fuck It · I'm Not OK (beatKill) · Legacy · NY State of Mind · Nothing to Gain · One Time · Savage Resp · Silent and Broken · Sustainawhat · The System Crumbles · Time to Represent · Unbroken V2 · Welcome to Dystopia.

The four‑variant catalogue · 14 songs

The standalone song catalogue is built on a consistent four‑variant grammar. Each song ships as four mixes:

  • MAIN — the principal mix · lead vocal + full production · the canonical version
  • INST — instrumental only · beat and arrangement with lead vocal removed · for production review, sample mining, or as live backing
  • TV — backing instrumental + backup vocals · lead vocal stripped · built for stage so Radheya rides the track and rhymes the lead live
  • ACAPELLA — vocal stem · Radheya's lead a cappella with beat fully removed · for remixing, sampling, vocal study

Songs delivered with the full four‑variant kit: 2026 · Better Days Ahead · CTDG · Coming In Heavy · Crazy Ass Times · Deep Sleep · Just Grateful · No Filter · Radheya · Reach For The Sun · Something Has Awakened · Sound Of The Sheep · Take It · This Ain't Real · Time To Represent · Turn It Up · War Within.

Special / additional songs

Outside the 2F album and the four‑variant set, there are several distinct songs and song clusters:

  • Smokescreen — multiple mastered passes including a TV pass with hook and without · 24‑bit master available
  • Run Run — full four‑variant set plus alternate +2dB loudness pass mixes (loudness‑bumped masters for streaming)
  • Fuck The Pedofiles — comes in both regular and CLEAN versions (radio‑safe), each across all four variants
  • Legit — variant tagged VOX UP (vocal‑level boosted) on the MAIN and TV passes
  • WIA — 4‑variant set plus a "WIA Sample" early working snippet
  • AMERICAN SCHEME (2026 Remix) — singular remix, no other variants present
  • Trump Just Like Us — single master pass, political verse
  • The CTGD / Crazy Ass Times / Sound of the Sheep / War Within "MAIN v2 + MASTERS" pair — appears in both an earlier MAIN v2 set and a final MASTERS set

Sonic signature (from the audio analysis)

Running tempo + key + spectral analysis on all 150 tracks reveals a sharply consistent production fingerprint:

Tempo · Mid 90s to low 100s

BPM range 69 – 199 with the bulk sitting between 89 and 115 BPM — boom‑bap to uptempo hip‑hop pocket. Median ~99 BPM. The catalogue is deliberately built for delivery cadence over dance impact.

Key · ~95% minor

Nearly every track sits in a minor key. Dominant clusters: C#m (33 tracks), Cm (15), D#m (14), A#m (13), Gm (13). Brightness is the exception, not the rule.

Spectrum · Low‑end forward, top‑end muffled

Sub‑bass dominates 70% of tracks; muffled top‑end also 70%. The mix style is warm and analog‑feeling, never airy or bright. Reads as deliberate — a sound that sits in the chest, not the ears.

Drums · Kick‑heavy and rhythmic

Kick‑heavy drums on 60% of tracks. The percussive layer drives most arrangements; melodic / sustained material is rare. Hip‑hop pocket discipline, not lush instrumental beds.

In one sentence: the catalogue sounds like mid‑tempo, minor‑key, sub‑bass‑heavy spoken hip‑hop with warm muffled top‑end and kick‑forward drums. Production by Carlisle Young is the through‑line.

Voice catalog (lyrical themes I tagged across the audio)

Recurring lyric themes I tagged across the audio set: Anti‑War · Political Commentary · Truth‑Telling · Mental Health · Spiritual / Consciousness · System Critique · Race / Identity · Crypto / Tech · Hustle / Grind · Media Critique · American Dream · Palestine / Gaza · Love / Heart.

These are not the same as the broad section v themes — these come from line‑by‑line lyric content across the album cuts.

x.The video catalogue (740/740 audited)

All 740 video assets now have title, description, tags, score, content type, and project. What emerged reframes the whole understanding of how Radheya's work is structured — he's two creators in one library.

The shape of the catalogue

By content_type, the 740 videos split:

  • 457 · Monologue (Topical · Reel) — short standalone topical pieces
  • 170 · Music Reel (Take) — raw takes promoting album songs
  • 61 · Monologue (Topical) — YouTube/longer standalone monologues
  • 38 · Music Reel (Polished Export) — updated polished reel exports
  • 7 · Music Reel (Long) — full-verse runs (Fuck It · Legacy etc.)
  • 6 · Music Video — the official cinematic productions: The System Crumbles · Disgusted · One Time
  • 1 · Music Reel (Master Cut) — final reel-ready master

That's ~70% standalone topical monologue stream + ~30% music promo + 6 official music videos. The catalogue isn't a singer's promo archive — it's roughly half political/topical commentary and half song promo.

Two distinct content streams

The video catalogue isn't one thing — it's two interwoven streams:

Music Reel — Promo for a Song

Reel‑length takes that perform a verse from a specific track on the album. Always tied to a song that exists on audio. Variants: Take (raw shoot), Polished Export (updated cut), Master Cut (final reel‑ready), Long (full‑verse run), Music Video (cinematic production).

Monologue (Topical) — Standalone Verse

Standalone direct‑to‑camera pieces on a specific topic. Not tied to a song; freestanding spoken word. Variants: full YouTube length and Reel cuts of the same monologue.

Folder ↔ Song mapping (so far)

Each song‑specific reel folder maps cleanly to one track on the album. Once one bar from the verse appears in a transcript, every other reel in the folder can be identified the same way:

  • Folder 75 = "I'm Not OK (beatKill)" reels · the "Blue background" 10‑take set · the 40‑year compression verse
  • Folder 87 = "Legacy" · South Asian post‑colonial trauma takes
  • Folder 88 = "Billionaires" · oligarchy critique takes
  • Folder 89 = "Disgusted" · anti‑war / Palestine takes
  • Folder 82 = "Disgusted" reels v2 (with 3m18s full)
  • Folder 90 = "Fuck It" · apocalyptic + vitalist takes
  • Folder 91 = "NY State of Mind" reels
  • Folder 92 = "One Time" reels (South Asian solidarity call)
  • Folder 93 = "Savage Resp" reels
  • Folder 80 = "Welcome to Dystopia" reels
  • Folder 81 = "Silent and Broken" reels (the Floyd / Gaza / compassion drought verse)
  • Folder 83 = "The System Crumbles" reels + the official music video (4m24s)
  • Folder 86 = "Trump Just Like Us" reels
  • Folder 94 = "Something Has Awakened" — the Nov 4 2024 morning shoot, 7 sequential takes that flow as one continuous verse from 10:02 AM to 10:39 AM
  • Folder 79 = the mixed‑songs "Reels 2–25" mega‑folder — every song gets one or two reels here
  • Folder 53 = Crypto / NY State of Mind / Triad / Pray For Me / Billionaires multi‑song folder

New song surfaced from the video pass: PRAY FOR ME

The video curation revealed a song the audio catalogue doesn't have: Pray For Me. Folder 72 holds 8 reels of it. Letter‑to‑mother piece. Sample bars: "But I must live, mama. You cannot control the situations I encounter and the dangers that unfold. I need to breathe, mama." · "Don't worry for me, mama. I'm less man than beast. I live without fear. We all die eventually." · "So pray for me as you close your eyes." Likely either an unreleased verse, a future track, or a piece performed in video form only. Flag this to Radheya when atom‑eye shares the library.

Standalone monologue series surfaced

  • Allow Me To Clarify My Views On Charlie — the Charlie Kirk assassination piece · refuses the did‑he‑deserve‑it binary · frames the horror as spectator culture
  • Hamas Talking Points — direct response to the "you're just parroting Hamas talking points" critique (YouTube long + reel)
  • Modern Colonialism — 5‑clip series featuring a televised Charlie Kirk colonialism dialog clip · plus YouTube long‑form
  • Origin Story (Corporate to Rapper) — "How did this middle‑aged corporate guy become a rapper?" two‑part + a Juelz Santana inspiration story
  • Trump Immigration Session (Apr 8 2025) — 6‑clip session dissecting the "they poison the blood of our nation" rhetoric on immigrants
  • Oct 26 2025 Projection Diptych — two monologues 27 min apart on how self‑loathing gets externalized: "Fear produces fear. Hate propitiates hate."
  • How Many Times · Peddle False Hopes · Assassinate Local Leaders · Fractured / Polarized — short topical reels on the imperial playbook, the false‑hope narrative, the polarization aftermath

Production pattern observed

The reel sessions tend to share a single visual signature: direct‑to‑camera, mask on, mostly white shirt + suit, framed against a specific backdrop (red brick, blue sky, NYC sidewalks, blue studio backdrop, balcony, studio interior). Burned‑in yellow caption text follows the bars on most reels. A typical shoot session produces 5–25 reel takes of one verse, then the polished "Updated" exports get derived from those raw takes.

The Nov 4 2024 morning shoot for "Something Has Awakened" is the cleanest example — 7 timestamped takes from 10:02 AM through 10:39 AM that flow as one continuous spoken‑word verse when watched in order.

~220 short cuts remained classified as "Unknown / Generic Reel" — they didn't quote a recognizable lyric or topic keyword. Still got typed, scored, and described, but the song attribution wasn't confident. These deserve a human eyeball pass.

xi.The image catalogue (342 shoots audited)

All 342 image assets have rich curation. They're organized as 10 distinct photo shoots / installations — each Dropbox folder is one continuous shoot session.

The shoots, by volume + theme

  • Central Park · Winter (77) — winter shoot in Central Park, black suit, mask, mid‑gesture compositions
  • Battery Park Esplanade (53) — Lower Manhattan waterfront with Hudson River backdrop, pinstripe suit, snow
  • Rooftop · Manhattan Skyline (51) — NYC rooftop with graffiti walls, Manhattan skyline including One World Trade, pinstripe suit, gold leaf‑mane mask. Dusk and golden hour
  • Wall Street · Financial District (43) — Wall Street/Charging Bull/financial district. The "Sher on Wall Street" set — pinstripe suit meets the symbols of capital
  • Court Of The People · Lower Manhattan (35) — NY Supreme courthouse steps, one arm raised to the sky, pinstripe suit. The democracy‑as‑symbol set
  • Live Performance · NYC Venue (30) — mid‑performance on a NYC stage, suit + mask, dim venue, stage‑light wash, microphone — the artist as cinematic‑hip‑hop figure on stage
  • Christmas Pajamas · Studio (23) — white Christmas‑print pajamas, leather briefcase, gold leaf‑mane lion mask. The corporate/holiday visual joke
  • Cannon Overlook · Legit shoot (12) — NYC park cannon overlook (Central Park's "Legit" video shoot location), old gun on granite, US flag at half‑mast, winter trees
  • Bathtub Installation · NYC Gallery (9) — NYC gallery installation, porcelain clawfoot bathtub against white‑painted brick wall. Art‑exhibit piece
  • Tuxedo · Performance Close‑up (9) — full tuxedo + bow tie + wider lion mask, abstract graffiti‑style backdrop. The formal performance look

The visual grammar

The 342 images orbit a tight set of visual moves: pinstripe suit and gold lion mask as the canonical outfit, NYC iconic locations as the canvas (Wall Street, Battery Park, Central Park, Lower Manhattan courthouse), and a recurring composition vocabulary — one arm raised, walking-away shot, arms-wide-dusk, lion-on-the-cannon, full-frontal court-step pose. Two mask designs appear: the leaf‑mane crown style dominates the rooftop and street shoots; the wider full‑face style appears in the studio and tuxedo work.
